My biggest inspiration comes from my mom, who was not only an amazing artist, but also a talented seamstress. She could create anything she set her mind to! I find the older I get, the more and more I am just like her; I just wish she was still here to work alongside me.
I have always had a creative spark, but it wasn’t until I made the decision to leave corporate America to be at home with my young kids that I truly tapped into it. During that time, I started my own photography business and also founded Studio K Designs. As my children grew older, I eventually returned to the workforce, but unfortunately faced a layoff when the pandemic took hold.
In that uncertain moment, I realized that I wasn’t going to secure a new job anytime soon. This prompted me to delve into what I truly loved – crafting and creating. I took a leap of faith and invested in an industrial embroidery machine, a laser engraver, and a digital color printer. With sheer determination and resilience, I taught myself how to operate these tools and honed my skills through trial and error.
I take immense pride in the work I produce and am committed to delivering products of the highest quality with quick turnarounds. I have the coolest printer in town – one that brings your digital designs to life in vibrant full color. Our cutting-edge printer can transform a wide range of surfaces, from clothing and cups to wood and glass. But that’s not all – we also specialize in crafting custom temporary tattoos, stickers and Mylar balloons that add a touch of flair to any occasion. Made by me, a local LH mom, and I LOVE to make Homecoming Mums/Arm Bands! I hand make each mum and have been making them for years, I pride myself in taking special care to make each mum as personalized and special to each person receiving one.
Each mum and arm band will come filled with lots of ribbons of all sizes, a loop HOMECOMING 2024 ribbon, 2 loop name ribbons (or 1 if not going with a date), jingle bells, cowbells, and lots of LH’s and wildcat paws. Of course lots of bling for the girls!!
